Josh’s Week

While teaching and school are two things that are pushing me to my edge, but what better way to take that edge off than friends and beers. And I think the beer to top my list this week was Humble Forager Forest Fortress: Coconut, Hazelnut, Coffee, Vanilla Benas, Cocoa Nibs Pastry Stout. Yes, it is a long title but man it is the most flavorful pastry stout I have had in a long time. If you aren’t a fan of coconut, it is super subtle and complimented by many different flavors. A close second for me this week was Bell’s 35th Anniversary Expetitditon Stout Reserve. I think what I loved about it was the smooth texture of it as you drank it. When you mix that with dark, roasted tones that it has, you just keep going back for more until the bottle is gone. If you can snag at least one bottle somewhere it is a great one to share with others. I can’t wait to see what this next week has to offer beers and experiences with friends.

Joe’s Week

We like taping new kegs as much as you folks enjoy coming in and asking “What’s New?” This week we polished off a few kegs on pre-fills so we could throw some new things on. All of our pre-fills are discounted below what Fresh Fill Friday pricing is so make sure to see what’s available to take home.

As most of you know, Wednesday was Drekker Day in South Dakota. Luckily for everyone, we got a larger allotment compared to some of the previous drops. Unfortunately, I haven’t had a chance to try any of them yet, but I feel like Sunday will be a good day for me to do some fridge cleaning.

My car definitely likes to keep me on my toes. I had planned a trip back to a friend’s place for some routine maintenance, but the old girl decided she wanted a new water pump, even though she just got one not too long ago. This allowed some downtime while waiting for parts for a day and a half for us to enjoy a growler of Empyrean Aries Oktoberfest, along with cans of Lupulin: DDH Hooey, Fair State: Chill State, and Central Waters: Wendy.

I was able to find enough time to sneak down to Monk’s Wednesday afternoon to enjoy some of the offerings remaining from their TG tap takeover on Monday. Luckily they still had some Mornin’ Delight left to enjoy, so good!

Until Next Time…

Need a Halloween idea? Stop on in for some single beers to hand out to parents as trick or treat gifts. While the kids get some treats, the parents should get some too! REMINDER: If you bring in your growler, have the cap thrown away and your growler rinsed out. If you don’t want to know what it smells like after sitting in your garage, we don’t either.

Cheers and Beers,
