Good morning and Happy Whisk(e)y Wednesday! Plenty of activity in our little city this week and weekend, I hope you have a chance to take it all in. And I hope that we can be a part of your experiences!

Bourbon Heritage Month – Every September we celebrate Americas Native Spirit! To do that, Joe and team have curated some great Whisk(e)y Wednesday flights to celebrate each week through the end of the month! Sanford International – It’s Sanford International Week in Sioux Falls! Pro-am today and tomorrow. Firat round action on Friday and through the weekend! We have a couple of events, one last night and one on Friday, around this event that we love being a part of and thank our friends at Sanford for trusting us with taking care of their guests!
FINAL Levitt Weekend – This weekend is the final weekend of our 2026 Levitt concert season! The fun starts on Thursday night with three great performers to wrap up the season!
- Thursday – Nick Moss Band – Since first forming The Nick Moss Band in 2016, master blues guitarist Nick Moss has become a torchbearer for traditional electric blues. Rather than simply repeating what’s come before, his band’s high-energy sound draws from old-school Chicago, Texas, and West Coast blues while remaining unmistakably their own. With their latest Alligator Records release, Get Your Back Into It!, their third album for the label, Chicago native Moss and his band deliver a deeply rooted, timeless blue-collar blues sound.
- Friday – The Back Alley – This high-powered Chicago indie rock quintet is made up of lead singer Ralph Porter, who joined forces with guitarist Jaden Cone, drummer Ben Kremer, and Ax and The Hatchetmen members, Sal Defilippis and Hunter Olshefke. This group has become a rising name in the Midwest indie scene. With striking riffs and catchy vocals, The Back Alley gives audiences something to dance about. Their tours and discography are still growing, and the best is yet to come.
- Saturday – Gizzae –Brian “Rocket” Rock and Gizzae are a longtime force in the Chicago reggae scene, known for high-energy performances and an authentic island-inspired sound. Rocket began performing professionally at age 12 in Dominica and later became the lead vocalist for The Swinging Stars before moving to New York City, where he co-founded Moja Nya and worked as a session musician on major projects including Born in the U.S.A. and Too Much Blood.
JJ’s Bar at the Levitt opens at 6:00pm before every concert with Happy Hour at The Levitt until the live music starts. $2 off all drinks!
JJ’s Axes & Ales
BIG changes to JJ’s Axes & Ales! Can’t wait for you to see what we have going on over there! We are leaning into a few more fun activities outside of axe throwing. Adding a couple more pool tables, dart boards and a Golden Tee for starters. We have also expanded our hours. We are now open again on Tuesday and Wednesdays from 4pm to 10pm!
