If you made it to the Kory & The FIREFLIES concert on Saturday, then you know tonight’s performer for Whisk(e)y Wednesday LIVE very well! Chris Beyer has been lead guitar and vocals for the band for 24 years. He was actually the first performer we ever had play here at JJ’s as well when we first opened JJ’s Bar in 2018. • Thursday – Fellowship Jazz Orchestra featuring Allysa Allgood – Founded in April 2025, the Fellowship Jazz Center Orchestra is Sioux Falls’ premier big band, igniting the stage with the region’s top jazz talent. Following electrifying performances, the FJCO has quickly become a driving force in the local music scene — honoring the legacy of big band jazz while elevating fresh, diverse voices with world class energy, precision, and artistry.
• Friday – Deep Blue Something – Deep Blue Something is an American alternative rock band formed in Denton, TX, in 1993. the band is composed of Todd Pipes, Toby Pipes, Kirk Tatom, Clay Bergus, and John Kirtland. The band is perhaps best known for their hit single “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” The band’s music encompasses a range of styles, including dream-pop, alternative rock, pop, and post-grunge.
• Saturday – Dustbowl Rivival – However you sip their sound, Dustbowl Revival has become a beloved fixture of the Americana community – from playing tiny speakeasies and pubs around their southern California base, to headlining thousands of shows in ten countries and counting. Founder Z. Lupetin’s quixotic Craigslist ad set out in search of like-minded music-makers—a hopeful call that ultimately brought the right voices together to play and create.

JJ’s Bar at the Levitt opens at 6:00pm (except where noted above) before every concert with Happy Hour at The Levitt until the live music starts. $2 off all drinks!

I have to apologize. We received a new single barrel during all of the Sioux Falls Airshow chaos and I was remiss in letting you know about it!

When we traveled to Kentucky in January and visited Heaven Hill Distillery on a cold, icy day, we selected TWO barrels. The first released a few weeks ago – Rittenhouse Rye Bottled-In-Bon Single Barrel. The second showed up a couple of weeks ago! This is actually our last barrel from that selection trip!

Larceny Barrel Proof Single Barrel – JJ’s 2nd Edition – AGC (Almost Got Cancelled) is ready to go home with you! It is delicious. Coming in at 120.7 proof, this wheated bourbon is silky smooth, slightly spicy and loaded with character. What is “Almost Got Cancelled”? When we were on our way to our appointment there was a moderate disruption in all activity in the area due to an ice storm that came through that morning. We received a call while en route telling us nobody could get to the distillery, however we were doing just fine. Call it mid-western mettle. They found someone who made it in to do our picks, so we were good to go, but almost got cancelled.
