Happy Whisk(e)y Wednesday! And thank you for clicking the link to view this newletter. As we continue to fight the “rules of engagement” in modern day retail, we rely heavily on tools and “tricks of the trade” to keep people informed of what we have going on. Just a simple click to view a newletter does a lot for our online reputation, so thank you!

Quite a week we had last week with the Sioux Falls AirShow and Discover Aviation Day. We estimated about 100,000 guests at the airshow over the weekend, which, if you do the math, is roughly 1/3 of Sioux Falls! Pretty cool to see so many people come together celebrate aviation and the South Dakota Air National Guard as they celebrate their 80th anniversary!

It was a pretty awesome week and our team here at JJ’s performed exceptionally well. From prepping, to packing, to loading, to unloading, to setting up, selling o ver two days in the hot sun, then packing up, heading back to our island and unpacking on Monday. IT WAS A LOT. I can’t thank the crew enough for all of their hard work so that I could focus on the airshow.

While the next Sioux Falls AirShow isn’t until 2029, the crew is already coming up with some great ideas for JJ’s Landing Strip Pub and the VIP guest experience at the AirShow. Stinks we have to wait that long, but it will be here before we know it!

Looking for more FREE live music OUTDOORS? I know, it’s going to hot, but so is the Levitt lineup for this weekend with a great variety of music…

• Thursday – Adam Bohanan – Twin Cities- based musician and songwriter who tours nationwide. His music draws from soul, jazz, funk, and R&B. A life-long nerd, Adam also loves to incorporate playful wordplay and nerdy references into his songwriting. In 2024, he was a semifinalist on Season 26 of The Voice..
• Friday – Hot Like Mars – Chicago’s funkiest, most soulful rock band – a jam-funk quintet built on airtight grooves, fearless improvisation, and songs that stay with you long after the house lights come up.
• Saturday – Wild Earp & The Free for Alls – Wild Earp loves tradition, but he’s no purist.  He’ll take you on a road trip across the American music landscape with country fried bangers, wide Western soundscapes, cowboy crooners, and hot honky-tonk.  Earp’s lyrics blend humor, heartache, and hard livin’.

JJ’s Bar at the Levitt opens at 6:00pm (except where noted above) before every concert with Happy Hour at The Levitt until the live music starts. $2 off all drinks!
